No Small Task

These children with ASD were specially created by the Master Artist, and placed carefully in their families… Yes, it is a very big task and often overwhelming to raise children with autism…but what a honor it is!  God chose us out of all the people in the world to care for our children–what a privilege that is!   And, remember, God does not make mistakes!  Not in creating His children or giving them to their parents–it was all for a higher purpose.  

However, with that privilege comes a whole lot of hard work.  It does seem a bit easier though, to do the work knowing God has set it up for us to do. It is also encouraging to remember that God promises to provide for us, all that we need according to His riches and glory.  We may not have much in the way of strength, energy, stamina…or even sleep!  And especially not in the money department, but God promises to  provide for us not by what we have, but by what He has…and that is unlimited!  I so wish every parent–especially those of kids with autism, new Jesus.  I don’t know how people survive without having these wonderful promises to rely on in the hard times.  

  1. Ephesians 3:16-19
    16I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
  2. Philippians 4:19
    And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
  3. Ephesians 2:6-10  6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
